Adam Bagley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with specializations in Christian Sex Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. He received his B.A. in Psychology from North Georgia College and State University. Before joining Thriveworks, Adam counseled children and teens diagnosed with autism and severe emotional behavior issues within the classroom, home based therapy and outpatient counseling.
With an open, warm and collaborative style, Adam brings his therapeutic skill, educational knowledge and relational insights to your counseling experience. Adam enjoys working with teens and families to help build better relationships, work through issues of conflict and trust, improve communication, solve family problems and create a better functioning home environment.
More specific areas include: Sexuality, depression, anger, anxiety, behavior problems, career aspirations, parenting and reconciliation. Adam encourages his clients to take responsibility for their lives by learning to understand their emotions, forgive themselves and others and make better choices through use of their faith, as well as therapeutic models of counseling.
Adam firmly believes that his faith in God is the cornerstone for truth and his ability to help others that are seeking healing and lasting change. He sees the Word of God as being the key to one’s ability to judge correctly and follow the best course of action based on biblical knowledge and understanding. Adam can attest to God’s direction in his counseling profession and welcomes others that are open to using their faith within the process of therapy.
Adam has been married for eight years and enjoys spending quality time with his wife. His interests and hobbies include spending time with family and friends, attending church, mountain biking, reading and maintaining a saltwater reef aquarium.
